This Privacy Policy explains how the Daily Prayer Chrome Extension ("the Extension") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

1. Information We Collect

The Extension collects and stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage:

Your prayer display settings (frequency, daily limit, quiet hours)
Your Voice Prayer license key (if you subscribe to the premium feature)
A count of how many prayers have been shown today

This data never leaves your device except as described in Section 2 below.

2. Information Transmitted to Third Parties

When you use the Voice Prayer (audio) feature, the following occurs:

The text of the prayer currently displayed and your license key are sent to our secure backend server (hosted on Cloudflare Workers) solely to verify your subscription and generate the audio.
The prayer text is then forwarded to ElevenLabs (elevenlabs.io) to generate the audio. ElevenLabs may retain request history per their own privacy policy.
Your license key is verified against LemonSqueezy (lemonsqueezy.com), our payment and subscription provider.

We do not store prayer text or license keys on our servers beyond the duration of the request.

3. Payment Information

All payment processing for the Voice Prayer subscription is handled entirely by LemonSqueezy. The Extension and our servers never see, store, or process your credit card or billing details.

4. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information
We do not track your browsing history or the websites you visit
We do not use analytics or tracking scripts
We do not sell or share your data with advertisers

5. Prayers Content

Daily prayers are fetched from a publicly accessible GitHub Gist. No user data is sent during this fetch — it is a one-way download of public content.

6. Data Retention

All locally stored data (settings, license key, daily count) is managed by Chrome's storage and remains on your device. You can remove all stored data at any time by uninstalling the Extension or clearing its storage via Chrome's extension settings.

7. Children's Privacy

The Extension is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
