HS Moduler — Privacy Policy

HS Moduler is a Chrome extension that lets you design HubSpot CMS custom modules on a visual canvas and export them as files. This policy explains what data the extension handles and where it goes. The short version: your designs stay on your computer, and we do not collect, sell or share your data.

Data stored on your device

Everything below stays in your browser profile on your own computer and is never sent to us:

• Your module design — the elements, fields and settings you build, autosaved so you can pick up where you left off (browser localStorage).
• Your license record — if you activate a Pro license: the license key, the activation ID Polar returns, and the time it was last validated (browser localStorage).
• Your export folder — if you use "Save to folder", a reference to the folder you chose so you are not asked every time (browser IndexedDB). The extension can only write to a folder you explicitly pick, and Chrome asks you to re-confirm access on later sessions. It writes the module files and checks whether a folder with the module's name already exists (so it can ask before replacing it); it does not read the contents of your files.

You can remove all of this at any time by clearing the extension's site data in Chrome, or by using Deactivate this device for the license.

Data sent to third parties

Polar (licensing). When you activate, validate or deactivate a Pro license, the license key and a device label (for example "HS Moduler (Windows)") are sent directly from your browser to Polar's license API to check that the key is valid. We do not receive, see or store your key or any payment information — purchases and licensing are handled entirely by Polar under their privacy policy. Free users never contact Polar.

Sample images and video (placehold.co, YouTube). Some built-in sections use sample content so they look realistic on the canvas: placeholder images are loaded from placehold.co, and one section includes a sample YouTube embed. These requests happen only when a section that uses them is on your canvas or preview, and they reveal your IP address to those services in the ordinary way any web request does. Replace the sample content with your own to avoid them.

What we do not do

• We do not collect or log your browsing history, personal information, credentials, financial information, location or communications.
• We do not run analytics, telemetry, advertising or tracking of any kind.
• We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties, apart from the Polar license check described above.
• We do not use your data for anything unrelated to the extension's single purpose: designing and exporting HubSpot modules.
• The extension loads no remotely hosted code. All of its JavaScript ships inside the extension package.

Your exports

The module files you export (module.html, fields.json, meta.json, module.css, module.js) are generated on your computer and written only to the folder or ZIP you choose. Nothing is uploaded by the extension. Uploading to HubSpot is done by you (for example with the HubSpot CLI) and is governed by HubSpot's own terms.

Permissions

The extension requests no Chrome permissions and no host permissions. It opens its builder in a new tab, stores your design locally, and — only when you choose to — uses Chrome's folder picker to write files where you tell it to.
