Tab Controller is a Chrome extension for consent-gated remote control of a single browser tab. Perfect for support, tutoring, and walkthroughs — without handing over your whole desktop.
They'll be able to click, scroll, and type here until you end the session.
Most remote-control tools hand over an entire computer. This one hands over a single tab — and nothing else.
Control never extends past the one tab that was shared — no access to other tabs, files, or applications on the device.
Every session requires an on-screen approval naming exactly what's about to happen. Nothing starts silently.
Chrome's own "this tab is being debugged" banner stays visible for the whole session — built into the browser, not the extension's word.
Clicks, typing, scrolling, and navigation — with a live mirror of the tab, not just a view-only screen share.
Restrict a session to a single website, so control can't wander to somewhere it wasn't meant to go.
Record a session straight to your own device. Nothing is ever uploaded anywhere — the file is yours alone.
Four steps, no installs on the other end, done in under a minute.
Click the Tab Controller icon on the tab you want someone else to help with, then choose "Share this tab." A one-time room code is generated.
Send the code to the person helping you, however you'd normally reach them — chat, email, a call. They enter it in their own copy of the extension.
You'll see a clear on-screen prompt before anything happens. Approve it, and Chrome's debugging indicator confirms the session is active.
The other person sees a live mirror of your tab and can click, type, and scroll. End the session instantly from either side, at any time.
One simple annual license removes the time cap entirely.
Add it to Chrome, share a tab, and see how it feels to hand over exactly one thing instead of everything.
